Anyone remember TDC's online magazine type thing called the Clickzine? PeterG was the editor, and later on I became editor (although I didn't get any issues up because the idea was scrapped about 2-3 weeks after I was made editor).
I thought it was pretty cool - and today I was browsing my old discs and found 3 issues of the Clickzine (August, September, December 2002) and the issue that I was creating, which never got released (so it's never been seen before).
I spent 2 hours reading them all and found them pretty interesting. There is an interview with Rikus, a few days after he announced that he was "leaving" TDC for stuff and just random game reviews and stuff.
So I uploaded them (including the issue that wasn't uploaded (although it isnt finished..)
These are 3 issues - I think december2002 isn't finished - it's basically the same content as september2002, but I didn't get round to finish it because PeterG introduced a new layout and stuff a few days later:
This was my favourite layout - but again, never got round to finishing the content as the clickzine idea was scrapped.
Anyway just thought some people would be interested in looking at these - I think it'd be pretty cool to bring back something like the Clickzine into DC3 - give your ideas and thoughts
Some images won't work and some content will be similar to other issues - some issues arn't full of content and are just edits of other issues
Well you can see that the new clickzine issue was going to be called "Clickzine 2" - I think it'd be pretty cool to reintroduce it as the Clickzine 3 for the TDC3.0
Cool, thanks for uploading them, interesting to see what was happening back then. It would be nice to have another clickzine back, the community needs something like that to highlight the interesting things together.
Hahaha the September 2002 issue has Terminal Orbit as the greatest view When am I ever going to finish that game...
Yeh it'd be cool to have it back - I'd love to start editing it again, but I think that chances of that happening are pretty slim..

It's cool.
I think it would probably survive if there was a team instead of one or two ClickZine creators (I don't know if there already was a team, I'm only a member for half a year now).
Yeh it was like a team - we had the Editor, who made sure the site was in order and everything was right. We had some article writers, reviewers and stuff like that.
I hope the admins decide on whether to bring it back - because it adds a bit of fun to TDC
I got a reply from Rikus - he said he thinks it's a great idea and that he's going to talk to Club about it. Then when DC3 opens, he'll start planning out Clickzine an stuff. So, we'll wait till DC 3.0
Well Rikus never made it clear if I was editor or not - anyway I'll just paste what he said:
"That's a great idea flava for the dc3, i'll have a talk with club about it, i'll keep you in the loop and we will pick it up once dc3 starts to rock n roll"
I assume I'm still involved - and from the sounds of it, he wants to start it after DC3 has been uploaded.
Take some inititive man, recruit some people, and get a small version going now, so that when DC3 is rolled out and Rikus wants to add the clickzine in, you're all set to go. We can host over at ectoprods, no problem.
Well I'm off school for a whole week so I guess I could do that to keep me occupied.. Although I would need some hosting because TDC File Uploader alone is using tons of my bandwidth x)
Those crosswords I'm going to scrap completely I think - unless you guys still want them.. And I was thinking of comics - but I completely suck at them. Maybe somebody would be kind enough to make some comics or something..
Similar to the "January 2003" layout, but I started it from scratch and changed a lot of it.
Anyway I need 3 reviews, 3 previews and around 2 articles for a "mini-version" of the Clickzine - then when finished, I can show Rikus and Club and hopefully they'll like it and decide to keep the Clickzine permanently.. So DC mail me if you want one of those jobs

About the comics: I mean, like voluntary. People submit a comic and the best gets on the DCZine.
