I'm making a Metroidvania style game, and my character can change into four different forms. I have all the abilities figured out but one. Every form has an ability that assists in puzzles. I have a nature form that creates blocks, and a machine form that uses a robot assistant you can control. The last form is supposed to be based off time. So far, I've thought of letting him stop time, but figured that would be a bit too cheap (this guy is hard! I guess I'll just freeze him). Another idea is a teleport skill, where you set down a marker and can return to it. Lastly, I thought of a skill that resets everything in the room except for things you introduced into it.
Anyone have any ideas (or think one of the above is good)?

well, there are many possibilities, you can have a special movement system like samus aran-morph ball in metroid. or maybe a propeller that can be used to push out-of-reach objects, or fly with, maybe both. Then you could have a magnet beam or something that can attract certain objects to you, like a + beam and then a - beam that pushes objects away from you. Or perhaps a hookshot thingy or ninja rope. Or the ability to shrink to get through tight areas. Or a cloaking device. Or rocket boots, or a teleportation device...There are thousands of possibilities, just use your head
