Ok it has taken a long time, but it has been well worth it. I havn't pixeled much lately so I thought I would do this to get into the swing of things. Enjoy
LOL why do I bother posting pixel art on a site full of sprite rippers... madness (not saying you are all sprite rippers) but I am intrigued by the level of response my art gets compared to a picture of a slut... madness
ive just tried it and works quite nicely, brings out the dragon just as nice as a darker background would. whats with the 'we' buisness are you and Pixelf working on it together?
oh i see. Well surely a darker dragon with a dark background will not define its outline aswell as a lighter background? Perhaps the dragons scales could have a slight highlight? Just a tad of grey to give it some more depth?
It's not really meant for a game, because I suppose I will have to pixel a smaller/animated dragon to be in the game lol and I can't animate too well. I don't know why but a black background works well on this monitor, I thought it would just hide it completely but it emphasises the red. When you did the gradient did you dither it and was it going in any particular direction?
i just went on photoshop , selected the back ground, and then used the gradient fill, chose red and yellow for my colors... it worked okay. you could use it as your logo for games or something!

Thats a nice piece of work, you've got some skills there mate.
I just opened it in paint and gave it a black background, trust me it is better like that.

the majority of regular users are against ripping, they are also the ones that visit the boards and would read that comment.
Personally i'm not against ripping, i'm against lazy/bad ripping.
