Hi guys,

Simple problem, with hopefully a simple solution: I have a program that makes repeatedly makes a noise. i need it to keep doing this even when the user has selected a different application - but it stops when the program is not selected. Is there any way to keep the events ticking over?

Cheers.

if you mean it stops when it's minimized, then there is a way around that. here is an example

Not when it's minimised, just when it's out of focus. Can the sytem tray object do this? Plus it costs to get it...

Cheers.

Quite a lot of people make this mistake...

The commercial license for the object is $10. That's 'commercial' - for games you're going to sell and make a profit out of. You don't have to pay anything if you plan to make a freeware game using it.

It is a simple problem...with a simple solution, if you have MMF. Go to the game properties, select 'Run-time' and check 'Do not stop samples when application loses focus'.

The samples dont stop when out of focus - but the events that tell the sample to repeat do. The program just seems to pause.

Thanks for the info on the system object though - ill get it now.

Edit: No, the system tray extension doesn't seem to do what I need, so I'm back to square one.
