A few months back i was looking for a background arist and found one: Dr evil face, he did some backgrounds for me then had to stop for various reasons. look here for a screenshot:

If you think you could emulate his work or perhaps improve upon it please mail me.

David

a few things: maybe i was too ambiguous; if your interested in doing it for me mail me, and could you please post below so i know. if you do this you can probably have much as creative input as you want to give. for example the dr evil face who i now think is called dr sabble face coded a neat text engine.

I really could do with the help,
thanks,
david.

i likes, er do you think that you could do backgrounds in the same sort of vein as the ones i've shown. and how much input/commitment are you prepared to give?

P.S im not too fussy

How many differn't types of backgrounds do you want draw...like how many areas? Do you want clouds, mountains, trees...all the far away stuff? Will I have to draw all the forground inactive objects? I'll decide when I have a little more info. I'm pretty sure I can do it in the same style though.

I terms of areas, i don't really know probably about 7-8 i guess. they'd be quite varied. If you could do foregrounds as well as backgrounds that would be good. I think the backgrounds would contain alot of architecture as well as natural landscapes. I could send you something to do to see if your happy with sort of stuff i'd be asking for.

Ok, Is this game a war game? It looks like it from the screenshot. So I would be doing fences boxes/barrels broken down buildings...stuff like that? You can send me the graphics that are already made and tell me the next area to make. Then, I'll make some examples and send them back to you and you can tell me what you think. Sound like a plan?

its not a war game at all.thispart just happens to be set in a derelict village in a dead desert type place. its more of a platformer/rpg, it was an original idea when i first thought of it.

graphics were good but not my style.
if you want them changed (i dont think they will siut your game) only that graphicher can do this .For understanding further i will give example
http://www.sbbgames.com/files/mtcoyunlari/down/ua2.zip
http://www.sbbgames.com/files/mtcoyunlari/down/arc.zip
http://www.sbbgames.com/files/mtcoyunlari/down/pacman.zip
And i can say if you think my style suits your game i will make for your game.
(i like that graphics).
they dont takes time but if they dont suits...
WHAA < ... hehe..!

lol, yes, i think that's what he means phizzy

now david, you won't get anyone on this site who will mirror the style taht your old artist had, everyone is different, people can imitate it, but they will never be able to duplicate it, so deal with it, just get a new artist, someone who is willing to go till the end, rather than someone who is good, but won't go through with it
