Okay, well here goes. . .

I'm creating a game, and to be honest whether its a BIG project, probably not but a decent sized project. The game is a beat em up, named Project Altar (tentative). So heres my sales pitch for you guys to join up with me

Project Altar is a beat em up, very much in the likes of Double Dragon, AVP (arcade), and Little Fighter 2 - which if u never played is a great game so look for it on google. Project Altar though has a real innovative and interesting twist, instead of playing as kung fu warriors or marines or something along those lines, you play as Altar Servers - yes thats right, Altar Servers. Each Altar Server has a different tool as a weapon. For example, James is the cross bearer - and carries a huge cross to whack enemies with, however he's slow and doesnt combo easy, while Margaret is a candle bearer and she uses her candle to create flames, shes not great at short distance or comboing but she has excellent range attack. This whole game takes a lot from Diablo, Dogma (great movie), Double Dragon, and a few other games and movies that either have to do with the Church (in some bad-ass non pornographic way lol jp ) or Beating the Shit out of something. So if your interested read on.

What Project Altar expects
Three Selectable Characters (with a fourth secret character)
Two player co-op
5 - 6 special moves - combos too
Atleast 6 levels (aiming for 10)
A few bosses
A great storyline - a lil bit of comedy, drama, and action
Snes style graphics - heres two sprites so far James (Cross-Bearer) and a Miser (demon)
http://www.geocities.com/peejrocks827/Altar.JPG
Fun gameplay

I have everything pretty much planned out, but im also very flexible so if you have your own two cents to throw into it - ill be glad to compromise.

Now the tough part - what Project Altar Needs

I could give a list of what i need, but its everything. I consider myself a decent spriter/animator - which can be seen from the picture, and i feel i have a good grasp on programming, level design, and writing music (im in a band so - music is my thang). However, i tell you what i do suck at - and thats doing everything at once. So any help is gladly accepted. And finally, theres one catch 22 - being in the merchant marines, i have to ship out this summer so that means in about a month, ill be gone for two months - all ill have is email. So its either this project gets done before then which i doubt, or people are really willing to work on this project while im out to sea. I still can get a good supervising thing going on through email so i wont be completely gone from the world, but i wont have any programs to fondle around with - not even paint (which sucks but still).

SO thats my sales pitch i hope i have some people really looking forward or really interested in either helping out or just giving some good feedback. Thanks alot guys

P.S. - either pm me, email me at Sniperizbak@aol.com, or im at Sniperizbak
i dont have MSN sorry

I'm interested. But one month isn't all that long to complete a game. How long will you be at sea for?

Too bad storywriter or SFX artist isn't an option
Maybe I can help anyway. Here is some kind of demon I drew quikly:

I have made a version with thumbs, but I haven't uploaded it yet.
Or maybe I can help you with music. I am not quite a professional musician like you, but I consider myself a pretty decent music artist. Here is a demo of something I made:

I hope I can be helpful!

being able to make bonus games then is not really a certain talent is it? It is just plain coding as everything else?
