My ps2 is on its side with no stand, next to my tv and gamecube there is no room for it to lay flat. Ive had no problems with it for the three years ive had it.
It's weird that people go on about how they have had to replace their consoles, Maybe they should have treated it better? even my old Amstrad cpc works fine and 99% of the cassette games work first time.

Old consoles are fucking tanks. I bought a bunch of old consoles last week (2 Master system I's, a Megadrive, a NES and a SNES) and they all work wonderfully. Nowadays they can have disc read errors or bad lenses out of the box.
It doesn't help that people treat them badly though. I swear I'm the only person on the PLANET that treats CDs with respect. I've never borrowed a game from someone that wasn't covered with monster scratches, and I've never gotten one back from someone after lending it that didn't look like they'd attacked it with steel wool.

I saw it on ign and i think it sucks!
I do not understand why Nintendo is doing such huge marketing errors!!!
They spent a lot of cash for their new handheld Nintendo DS which is great
and now they try to sell something that is worse than their old GBA!!! Boing!
Revolution is going to be a huge failure as Gamecube was and as Nintendo DS seems to
be (i own a DS and i think it's great great great! but they do not support it enough...).
Since GBA and SNES, the Nintendo is losing money... Do you remember N64? Do you remember Virtualboy? HUGE FAILURES! Nintendo is still there because of GBA and instead of supporting the new GBA (=nintendo DS)they try to create new consoles and sell crappy stuff... I'm very dissapointed from Nintendo. I'm sure that is going to close like SEGA did.
Btw i think that ps3 is going to be the next best seller; revolution and xbox360 have no chances at all. I will certainly buy it -one and a half year after its first release of course to a reasonable price.
