Okay, i've got 2 characters, that's supposed to have completely similar movement. They have four detectors each. So i made the movement for one of the characters, and it works perfectly. I then copy everything for the other character, replacing all the instances. Everything's working fine, except that character nr.2 is shaking!

The only difference i could find, and i believe this is the problem, is that while the detectors on char.1 are kinda lagging behind him, while char.2's are following his movements perfectly. All the detectors are set to always set their positions to their character.

So what gives? Why are objects that are exactly the same, with the same events and actions, behaving differently? And how can i fix this?

this may be off the topic and it may not help, but are both the characters playable or does one character follow the other? if one character follows the other then you could maybe use AI platform movement for it?

No, both are playable. It's a 2-player vs.platform game, kinda like Mario Bros.

Try moving the always event around. Maybe placing it on top of the list.

I think your problem is just the scrolling.

The scrolling you got only follows one of the charactors.

To fix it,(and see what I mean) change the scrolling event to something like

Always : centre X position window in playfield : (Xplayer 1 Xplayer 2)/2

Always : centre Y position window in playfield : (Yplayer 1 Yplayer 2)/2

Uh,no, it's a singlescreen game, so there's no scrolling at all. Does anyone know if it's possible to contact Clickteam somehow and ask them?

First off, what program are you using? MMF, GFACTORY, or KNP?

Post the source so we could take a look at it.

Just wanted to let AndyUK and anyone else who might lose sleep over this know that that good Dr. Evilface miraculously managed to mend the problem. Thanks!
