Ok guy's Here I am again...
I've been working on some of my Shooting games (I'm working on looooooots of games at once!! ) and am quite satisfied with what I see... but ... after playing Seek & Dread online, for a few hours I fell in love with the mouse aiming...
My usual mouse aiming is (the crossair can go anywere on the map, and the gun always follows it arround... What I want to do is to limit the crossair to just movi around a certain space around the player... (like in S'n'D).
Can someone help me?
THANX

If you want the crosshair to move around the player like that, dont use the mouse, its annoying

I hate that control scheme, makes aiming so much harder. But if you still want to know how it has to do with cos\sin
x=x+cos(angle)*20
y=y-sin(angle)*20
Sorry for the short reply, I've got to go out

x coordinate of crosshair = x coordinate of player + cos(angle) * 20
y coordinate of crosshair = y coordinate of player - sin(angle) * 20
when you want to rotate the croshair, change the angle. Change the 20 at the end to the distance you want the crosshair to be from the player

Does that work with TGF?
I was thinking of the same idea myself, without using a crosshair. *Shrug*
