What program do you use at the moment? TGF?

If you tell us that, we'll know what kinda stuff to tell you. For the meantime I'm assuming you've got TGF.

TGF is limited to about 262 objects at any one time. In MMF, you can set your own limit right up to 10,000! Of course, 10,000 objects would seriously slow your machine down. But it is possible. As far as I know, MMF is happier running lots of objects than TGF.

MMF has LOTS more extensions, and they're more powerful. For example, the Lens Object lets you bend and refract the background. You know those effects in movies where something invisible ripples against the background? You can do that in MMF.

MMF has several functions built in, such as fast loops and min/max functions. MMF also supports named loops which I don't think was possible when I was using TGF.

MMF standalone games merge the .cca/.gam file with the exe. So instead of sending people the .gam, .exe and .dll, all you need to send are the .exe and .dll files.

MMF has a new feature called Projects. These can automatically build installers for your game, so you don't need Install Creator. The most amazing feature of this is that you can create completely standalone programs. These can run with no installer OR dll files at all! You just send the .exe and it runs on almost any windows system!

MMF can use Active X controls, which are like another kind of extension, but not limited to MMF (so you can use the same extensions used by Visual Basic and Internet Explorer, even showing Flash animations and Web Pages).

I have to go home from work now, but hopefully someone else can continue for me.

MMF has a seriously screwed interface, I hate it, but you get used to it after a while. The plus points vastly outweigh the bad ones.

Oh yeah, and there's an option to automatically change the screen res to fit the game, and to let music continue playing even when you change levels.

I'm back!

The biggest coolness is that MMF standard is the legal equivalent of TGF pro. That means no nagscreen at the end of standalone applications!

As with MMF pro, so long as you include a 'Fueled by Fusion' logo in your game and (if applicable) its packaging, you can sell it without paying any royalties to Clickteam! MMF is your biggest step towards going commercial with your games!

As for MMF pro, well that's even better! You don't have to even *mention* clickteam if you buy MMF pro!! As far as they're concerned, they've given it to you completely.

MMF Pro also gives you more powerful/professional extensions (such as serial generators, etc).

*sigh*

Just buy the damn mmf.

And stop asking the questions in the name of the thread. Ask it in the tread. It makes you look like a jackass.

I think the best benefits of MMF are the extensions... and the 26 alterable values. I can't imagine how I ever lived without THOSE.

Yeah, and you can also name alterable values now.

So suppose I'm using Alterable Value A as the player's ID number.

You can make it so instead of using
Alterable Value A("object")
to get the player's ID, you can just do
ID("object")
Nifty!

And I think MMF has less bugs than TGF and I think that finished MMF games don't need the CNCS32.dll file.

It sounds like Billybobjoe was having a memory resource error. I've had it occur frequently with digital graphics programs. Namely when I use them for long periods of time, constantly flip out to do other things, and don't save and exit frequently. But if you're not saving frequently you can't really blame it on the program that you lost all your data...

YOU leave the community, coz i won't coz i can make games and kick little bitches like you, which is more than you can. I'm everything you'll never be, so go fuck yourself coz everybody will always see you as a total n00b.
I bet this topic will be locked soon, or my post deleted, but i don't care as long as you STFU!

Opps, I was wrong. Standalone MMF games don't need a caa file unlike TGF Standalone games which need a .gam file with the .exe file to run. Sorry.

Bah, you guys can use all your fancy extensions, 26 values per object (grumble), and all that other cool stuff it can do.

I'll stick with my TGF, if anything, the limitations force me to be more creative.
