For anybody who's interested, Mario Kart DS is fun.
The online component is limited to 4-player grand prixs, four races each, no bots. There's a decent amount of tracks from varios Mario Kart games. There's a single player battle mode, too, so you can play against a bunch of CPU opponents, and you can have teams. hmm... what else to say? Oh, it seems to use WEP security, which is gay, but one of my neighbors has an unsecured wireless network, so I was playing on that. Anyway, if you've got a DS, you might want to pick this up. I don't know about anybody else, but I haven't really been wowed by the selection of DS games up to this point.
Finally they get it. People actually do want to play 4player grand prix. This is bliss
[quote]PAL versions get improvments a lot of the time though.[/unquote]
Yeah, but even so. It's a pain to know the game's out and we can't have it yet. The PAL version ofMetroid Prime supposedly is harder than the NTSC version. I'm 75% sure it's true. Sometimes they do really weird things when taking the game over to PAL. Tales of Symphonia's textfont is when compared to the NTSC version (which I imported a week before the game was released as PAL. Just couldn't wait ) really bad, IMO. I wonder why they had to change the font? Both versions are in english anyways. :/
It's unrealistic to expect simultaneous releases. Manufacturers can only produce so many copies for an initial shipping. Either *everyone* gets it two weeks late, or *everyone* suffers critical shortages, or someone has to wait a little while. I don't mind waiting, especially when what I wind up with is generally less buggy and more balanced anyway.
Well normally I'd agree with you on that, but I'm thinking of WarioWare Twisted.
In the UK it comes out on 2nd February 2006, delayed from September 30th 2005, delayed from March 2005, so that WarioWare Touched for the DS can get good sales. So basically, everyone else would have had the game for over a year...
Yeah, that would be super. Like Punch-It but with times 2 the super power.
Anyway, the game doesn't come out here until tomorrow. I'd been playing an advance copy, and thought I'd share, forgetting, of course, that everyone here is from Sweden.

Mario DS came out today (Australia, PAL) , I haven't bought it yet. I might buy it, or just wait for Animal Crossing. Circy - That's quite strange how you don't have warioware touched, I'm aussie and we have PAL aswell, however it's out and I think it was one of the release titles.
CD-wow were supposed to be shipping me a US copy but because of demand i've been kicked to the side and have to wait like everyone else for the UK launch. still, Tony Hawks DS is out tomorrow so i'll get my slice of wifi pie.
