I'm workin on a new game involving ninjas. I need a few people to test it. I don't want millions of people tho. I'll post an initial alpha here, so you can all test it, and leave feedback. Just private msg me if you'd like to help test it as I get further.
Ooooooo! Tis good. Good engine, I liked how he clung on to walls, like a ninja. The only thing Id work on is the blue background and perhaps the climbing animation? Like, he climbs the plant-stalk like a koala instead of human? I like it alot!
Had to edit this, I just noticed he changes colour too!
There's only one thing: because the game starts in full screen/auto-resolution (you know what I mean ) I cannot see the whole screen. This is probably because I have a 16:9 Acer screen, with a 1440x900 resolution. If you want to make this game accessible for all, make it start in a small window, because not everyone knows that Alt+Enter turns Full screen into a window.
Well, this is maybe not the kind of feedback you were looking for
Digital Dreams -> The blue background is temporary I assure you I'll try the climbing anim, but it could get tricky. The colours will be decided by the player when they start a new game.
Robert -> Sorry About the full screen thing, there's a wierd bug in mmf that stops the replace colour action from working properly if you dont tick the adjust resolution mode button in the window properties when using 3k colour mode. I'm going to add an option for full screen mode to the options menu, or even a settings program or something.
AndyUK -> I don't quite get what you mean by slugish. I've kept it a bit cartoony, but I can still tweak it.

-If you throw a shurikin when standing next to a wall, it winds up embedded halfway through it.
-The inertia thing is nice, but it would feel better if he skidded a bit before turning as well instead of just changing direction.
-Walljumping is counterintuitive, because you need to keep pressing in the direction of the wall as you jump. You should be able to hit jump and stop pressing against the wall at roughly the same time (you could just give him a quarter-second delay before he falls when you stop gripping a wall).
-Getting knocked back when taking damage seemed a little inconsistant, just double-check that. It's not on my HDD anymore so I'm not sure.
Ahh ok, I'll speed it up bit, and see how it feels.
Radix -> The wall embedding thing is hard to avoid, unless I make it so you can't throw at all when you're next to a wall.
I like the skidding idea, I'll give it a try, but it could be tricky.
I'll try that wall gripping thing too, that's a good idea.
The knock back will be different depending on the the direction you are hit from. So it may push you left or right depending on where you're hit from.
Thanks all for the feedback, I'll keep trying these things. I'm not sure about the climbing animation at the moment, but I've got some ideas that might make it look a little better.
