Is there a way in which you can have like a see-through area in the window, which acts like a window, if you know what i mean?

Yes, in TGF you'll have to set the ink effect to semi transparent, right click on the the object and go to object properties, it's in the last tab.
In MMF, you can set it at run time through the event editor.

That works for objects - in MMF you can also have a "hole" in the window itself, but I haven't got it working exactly reliably. I think it's the Window object that does it.

Semitransparent doesn't 'make a hole in the window'?

No, that's why he said "I think it's the Window object that does it."...

I skimmed the post, I thought he was looking for a way to make a window in a game.
