just wondering if this would be possible: a program on the desktop for tdc that allows people to upload games to it (after being checked by admin of course) and allows users to download those uploaded games. maybe some extra stuff too, like maybe achievement points in the style of xbox live on the 360, or maybe the games profile could include like the top 5 high scores or something like that? just some ideas ive had and if anyone thinks this is possible and is interested in helping me out then email me at wickeddark14@yahoo.com or just send me a dc mail. thanks!

Check out Keaton's TDC Download list downloader, it should help you on your way.
If the admins gave me the Database link and all I could do the uploading part, but i've already got the downloading part down ... kinda. I think i'm actually gonna make an improved version of that with a better GUI and all...
Doubt very much you'd be allowed access to the databases.
Secondly, TDC is a website - even if you did make a desktop version I don't think it'd be very popular to be honest, plus would be a waste of time.
Yeah, TDCDD was really just me testing the water of HTML parsing before I dived into it, the problem is it kinda says no diving so It's gonna be a slower process...
u wouldnt need to access tdcs stuff for any of this, just have people submit stuff or just copy the links. if i get some time ill make a concept thing or something to show you guys what i mean, cuz i think it seems a lot cooler in my mind then what i can write down on this post without making it a page long or something like that

Well you wouldn't need access to TDC database - you can just connect to the necessary URLs using MooSock. The only problem comes with that you won't be able to login to your account on a desktop version, and so can't submit stuff. You can easily just get the downloads list with MooSock though and just dislay it in an application. Then pretty much do exactly the same for articles, previews .etc
There are actually lots of MooSock tutorials. If you search the ClickTeam forums there are tons of results about MooSock, and there are articles everywhere. I've written 2 - and they are very very easy to understand.. If you cannot understand them, then you need more practice with MMF/TGF methinks. It's pretty basic stuff though once you learn how to do it.
I changed that so you dont have to be logged in - Personally I dotn like compulsary registration, you just have to be logged in for it to count the download number
the way i was gonna do it you wouldnt have to log into your tdc account, seeing as to download a game you can simply get the url from the link it displays on every single game preview. also maybe it wouldnt connect using internet explorer, but maybe with an extension that ppl use to update their games? not sure if its possible but just a thought.
