My manager just told me some spanish folks have been wasting my bandwith by directly linking to my games (even the old klik&play fishheads, giving them the same rating as my new games).
This is pretty retarded to start with, but they also offer a paid download for all of them, so they are just making money from freeware games. They have loads of klik games on there, even very recent ones. http://www.descargamelon.com
Should we do something about it or just be happy with the publicity?
The people over at, www.yolkfolk.com saw some dizzy fangames being sold on ebay on a compilation cd and confonting the person(s) responsible was enough to stop them, However this is slightly different.
How many of us speak spanish?
I don't really know what to think about it, they make you pay some money for a stable download and they mention the site of the creator. Still I feel like I am being raped by big spannish people.
Er, I mean, people did that to me a while ago - back in 2002/3 I think. They were selling my Smidgets X game on a CD as part of a compilation under the name of Next Step Publishing. I tried to track them down, but conveniently they didn't have an e-mail address or website. I think you need to put clauses in the games saying that nobody should charge anything for them; since then, that's what I've done in all of them.
Wow, that's pretty shitty. It can't be legal, can it? They might give you credit, but they didn't ask permission. There's a ton of click games on there, but if you don't make a dime off your game, why should you unwillingly line some thieving fat cat's pockets?
On the bright side, these games are now getting tons of downloads from the Spanish public.

DXF Games, coming next: Hasslevania 2- This Space for Rent!
"Phizzy, who the hell would sell your game"
Talk about totally missing the point
I would feel really bad to include "don't sell this game" in the fishhead 1 readme. Maybe we should just wait till they made a lot of money with this and then claim a percentage.
The free download links directly to the file on the authors space, eating bandwith without generating visits (12% of my bandwith was used in just a few days because they decided to put all my games on their site at once), the paid download is on their space. Both is pretty much asshole behaviour, but I get more hits at the moment as they do mention the authors website (the bored spanish people will click on that).
See, I've been saying this for years. Spainsh people are nothing more than !#*(#*%)^((^$*%*I$($#*(@!#(*@)(#&@)*($&*@(%&*(#*(&*(Q#&(*@&!(@%&!%(%(^))*&)%&_$(_$(_@*)!&@!)&(&(#^(&$(^&$(@&^(&$*%&**(& spicks.
Fine Garbage since 2003.

how do they sell those games?
i mean if i click on a game and click on the screamshot it will directly start downloading the thing and i dont have to pay anything so what about them making money with the games?
the site also says something about text messages you can sent to them but i really didnt understand that part.
