Can anybody tell me where you can find a freeware mp3 composing program? I`ve heard about some but I don`t know/remember where you can find any of them.

He means creating music and saving them as mp3 files, probably.

Modplug Tracker makes music modules, but can also save files as mp3. www.modplug.com

Phizzy, shut up; just cause you didn't get what he was talking about doesn't make him a moron; everyone else seemed to get it fine.

I wrote "mp3 composing" because when I wrote it I thought on the swedish words "komponera musik", do you have anything against it, Phizzy? If you have, I don`t care.

Phizzy, shut the hell up. You're not funny anymore at all! Why do you have to constantly annoy everyone that asks a question? Just because it's not in perfect English, it doesn't give you the right to be a grammar whore and bitch-slap them with correct syntaxing. Not everybody on this site is English, you cock.

I have three thoughts on this thread:

1. I agree that "MP3 composing" is a weird way to phrase it.
2. Phizzy should go and boil his head notwithstanding.
3. Modplug Tracker.

Why are we scaring the new guy away?

To clarify things for you, Jakob, Musik translates to music, and MP3 is a computer file format which can store sound. You can even record something you play in real life and save it in mp3, just as easily (almost)!

Oh. Then post more, get people to know you a bit.

Need any music instruments too? I've got a ton of wavs here (and a few .its files for modules in Modplug Tracker)...

DaVince: Yes definitely, I would appreciate it very much if you want to send them, it appears to be a big lack of instruments in our computer...

And now when we are talking about modplug, can somebody point me at a userguide or something? the readme to it didn`t help very much.

Jakob W, I didn't know if you knew or not, but the MODPlug tracker has gone open source, and there is a version called OpenMPT, which has added features.

It can be found here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/modplug/

Also, here is a link to the manual wiki:
http://openmpt.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome

Furthermore, check out The Sonic Spot here:
http://sonicspot.com/
- especially under "music creation" at the bottom

If you want to get into synths, FLStudio (formerly Fruity Loops) is fantastic if you have the cash, but check out Psycle if you don't. It's really cool.

FLStudio
http://www.flstudio.com/English/frames.html

Psycle
http://psycle.pastnotecut.org/portal.php
- check out some of the songs other people composed

Hope that helps and good luck!

BTW, you should never feel looked down upon or unaccepted here.
Don't let ANYONE make you feel that way
