I guess this would include and system before the 32/64bit generation. Unless you want to argue that 32 bit is retro enough.
I'm a big fan of retro gaming a the moment, it's nice to hear othe peoples stories about playing a classic for the first time, or receiving their first computer when they were a young'un.
SNES all the way. I got one in 1996 when all other kids got playstations, saturns and nsixtyfours, I got many consoles after that but none of them was as much fun as the SNES (PSX comes second). I actually played some games on it today.
Also I want to insult HBK HARD for babbling about his stupid topics once again, but he will say "elf" because he thinks it's an insult. So I won't.
My first console was a SNES too... and by far the most fun thinking back to when i used to play it. I think i got it when Super Mario World came out, because i got that with it. I was only a little kid (6 maybe? not sure) and i remember being well upset when my dad killed Bowser when i was in bed . Oh well.
Favourite SNES games would have to be:
Super Mario World
Super Mario Kard
Secret of Mana
Donkey Kong Country (and 2 & 3)
Super Metroid
...I'm having trouble remembering others.
I recently played Flashback again (it was far too hard when i was little) and completed it. Did anyone else ever play that?
Collecting SNES games is good fun, I am hunting for Mario RPG and Kirby's dreamland 3 atm. I got FF3/6 from a friend awhile ago, playing it on the actual console blew my mind.
I need to get hold of FF3/6 and Mario RPG... never had a chance to play them on the actual console. My mate bought a SNES in very good condition recently, so we're gonna go through all the classics (we're sharing a house at uni at the end of this year).
I would say SNES but I played more megadrive and master system, because my uncle had them. He may have had a genisis... oh and for 32 bit, Saturn had Nights into Dreams, one of the best games ever made.
