Does anyone know anything about Layers for TGF2 or MMF2? I can't get them to do anything.

Its all about the x and y coefficient, but sorry I dont know about those, there is an article though. Let me find the link.

What do you want to do with them?

To edit a layer, open the layer manager and add a new layer. Now click on that layer to start editing in this layer. Add objects or whatever, they will all go in the selected layer.

Parallax scrolling can be achieved by setting the x and y coefficients lower or higher than 1. Lower results in slower scrolling for that layer, higher results in faster scrolling.

Collision and other events like these only react if they are on the same layer. You can fix this by using the layer object I think, which can make the layers interact more with each other.

...What? The layers object was in MMF 1.5, no?

If it was I didn't notice it.

I've made a 3d engine. The active objects don't appear in the right order though. I needed a way to formulate it.

Thanks for your help. That article is cool as well. But it isn't what I had in mind. Infact, neither were layers.

Those WERE about layers, Skinny. You just didn't clarify what you wanted to do with them, exactly.

The layer object has returned in MMF 2, with some new options and functions to let the layers interact with each other, Peblo.
