Hey all, I decided that for fun and practice in 3D modeling, to model one of the sprites from ArcaneTale. I personally think it turned out better then I expected, but I made a final render, and decided to post it here and get a side by side opinion. Thanks.
It's pretty much exact...which is quite impressive. Then again, your work is usually pretty good, so one would expect the talent with sprites and 2D art, to follow into the realm of 3D modeling.
Alot of plants are that shiny. Alot have a waxy covering on the leaves etc ok ¬_¬

Sure, but this kind of shine/wax effect just doesn't look natural to me. Does it to you?
I guess with the half cartoony style you have, BrandonC, that isn't too bad anyway.
Would love to see a lil 3D AT world demo made in one of those 3D Basic programs.

Actually, I'm the one that drew the plant. Cassatta hired me as a sprite artist for the game.
why yes that would be the long fiberous strands that can be found in most plants and in some countries tribes use them to make string. But I still like it shiny
Snerlin's right, his name is under the credits in the game, but I forgot to mention that he was actually the one who made the original 2D sprite, here.
