Anyone interested in Street Fighter? I guess you have seen this then. But for those few that still have not. It's madness. Believe me, that block combo is not easy to pull off. Perfect timing.

Gives me the chills especially with the nerds cheering...

Well, if you look closely his lifegauge (the one playing Ken) is almost out and the one Playing Chun-Li has lots of power left. Just one hit is enough to finish Ken off. Usally you lose a little power when blocking too if you don't block with PERFECT timing, and doing that while someone unleashes a super combo is nearly impossible, if he missed one he would be dead meat. AND after he was done blocking he counterattacks with his own super combo and wins the match. Yeah... that's it. :>

GOTM - MAY 2009 - 3RD PLACE!

I am totally lost. I just do not understand fighting games. I usually just press punch a lot and do jump kicks because those seem to be good.

I remember that video.
It's remarkable because parrying is annoying to do. You have to press forward or down-forward at exactly the right time, and the special that Chun-Li did switches a lot between low and high attacks.

I could never do that. I love fighting games, but I'm crap at them and I have no-one to play against anyway.

Cool find!

Yes, this is the classic Daigo match.

The reason it is "special" and the crowd are cheering so much is because he pulls off a full parry on every single move, including the air hit (hard to do) and finishes with the super combo.

To do a "parry" the user must push "towards" at exactly the right timing. If you miss-time, your character will just walk into the incoming attack.

A simple block would not suffice in this sitation (no energy left) as the super combo would melt it down.

Makes you want to get SFIII aye. Wish it was available in this country on PS2.
We have to make do with SF vs SNK (which has the parries)
