For years, ArcaneTale has been on and off the board, but lately I've been getting very inspired to work harder on the game. So inspired that the current graphics I have just don't seem to be cutting my expectations of the game. I'm looking for multiple talents, but the main talent at the moment is graphics.
What I'm looking for in sprites/backgrounds:
I'm looking for high quality graphics with a sort of SNES/Genesis style look to them. The game runs at 640x320 if that gives you any clue as to what size the graphics need to be. I'm looking for very vibrate and colorful sprites, and an artist that can work on the spot.
Because the game comes and goes as far as inspiration goes, I need someone who can manage to "pump" sprites out quickly, however I do not and will not expect you do be working on sprites the entire time until the game is finished. My requirements come out in short bursts if you will.
Characters in general:
Sprites need to be well animated as far as characters go, and for ease of programming, player sprites should be split up into two sprites, upper and lower. The character sprites should be fitted for various weapons such as swords, daggers, axes, shield, the average RPG stuff. Character sprites have a standard of 32x16, but this could change (though very unlikely).
Backdrops in general:
ArcaneTale thus far, as been known, even in it's alpha tests, to have very pleasing backdrops, things such as plants, tree's, flowers, etc. However ArcaneTale getting a make over gives the game a chance to lose this nice look, so I need to make sure that the new graphics are just as nice, if not better then the current ones. I'm looking for a lot of variety and originality from the artists part. Even simple animation such as swaying in the wind would be nice, but isn't required (can be added in post editing).
Backgrounds in general:
The backgrounds in ArcaneTale parallax with one another, and this has been a feature I took pride in before MMF2 introduced layers. However even though now just about anyone can parallax without any true skill needed, I'm not going to let that keep ArcaneTale from still taking high advantage of paralleling. Especially now that paralleling can much more in-depth with more layers, and still hold performance. I am expecting a great deal as far as backgrounds go, especially seeing as MMF2's performance has improved a great deal.
I am looking for multiple layers from all the way in the back, to all the way even into foregrounds.
Anyway, I've made my little request for sprites. I hope I get some responses.

I would love to hear from anyone who's willing to do the job. Please have some sort of portfolio ready though, so I can see previous work and let you know without a doubt, if I would like your help.
If need be, I can look into some sort of payment, however please take into consideration that absolutely no money is being gained off of this game, if anything, money is being lost. So please understand that money isn't an option.

I can't help, but there is a problem i had with your game...
The full screen thing changes the bit rate on your monitor to 640x320 as you said. It's really hard to change it back afterwards unless you have an older computer... can you make an option to put it on full screen instead of forcing it on when you start it up?
If you already fixed that i didn't play any newer versions...
Thanks for reading :X

This has been fixed thanks to MMF2 not crashing and forcing the resolution the same. I'll look farther into fixing any future crashes though, just to avoid the problem all together. Any bug reports are great, thanks.
