This is a midi remix I made of one of my favourite songs: Starshine by Gorillaz. The original is a space-out reggae tune with irregular drum patterns, and I think I stuck to this pretty well in my version. The main difference is the added violins and pads, plus the drum pattern changes about half-way through.
The hardest thing was getting the percussion right, mostly because the opening lasts for 5 bars instead of 4 and it creates a small silence at the beginning of the melody/bass.
