Hey guys, I have made only one game(yes, the built in engine) and its just okay. Well, I want to start to get a little more advanced and learn custom movement engines and stuff like that.I have searched over google and typed in "mmf2 tutorials" and havent had any luck on anything worth while that isnt either way above me, or way below my knowledge. I searched your articles for custom movement and found one close to my knowledge level, but when we got to the part about detectors it totally lost me. Well, anyway, do you guys know of a tutorial for a guy who just finished coding a game in the built in engine? A tutorial that wouldnt assume i knew what detectors were?
Thanks,
Tyler

A detector is an object, usually rectangular and invisible, that is used to test collisions with the game environment rather than using the player's visible sprite.
There are also plenty of tutorials on http://www.klikacademy.com/
