...but was too damn lazy to make
Post cool game ideas that youve gotten, that you think would be friggin awesome, but simply hasnt gotten around to making. Maybe someone else is interested in it and wanna make something out of it?

I think a 2d "Resident Evil 4":ish game would be awesomely cool. Playing like a platformer kinda, you face hordes of zombies(or spanish villagers, choose yourself ;P) equipped with a shotgun.
But im too lazy to do it, plus it would probably turn out like crap if i even attempted it...

So, im curious. What cool ideas have you gotten? Any that you started on, but later abandoned?

Ideas? Pfft... I have 80+MBs of ideas that I was too lazy too finish. Includes graphics, source code, notes, etc. Though the notes and ideas and game plans themselves already reach about 30+megs in MS Word and common ASCII format.

I'm tempted to write them all down, but if I did, I'd be here till the cc closes down. Seriously . See my previews... both unreleased games are still being worked on.

80Mb, Muz? That's nothing. My TGF games folder is almost 1000Mb, and then I've got my MMF projects as well. I have too many ideas, but most of them are shite.

I was about to reply with "1000mb?! WTF!" Then I checked all my TGF/MMF stuff and it came to at least 800mb 690 of that was TGF, I haven't done too much with MMF. Maybe I should have a massive releasing spree and finish loads of old games

Hmm, ideas...

APPS

Water tile animator. The way it works is thus: You draw a non-seamless high contrast tile in a little editor. Then, you choose the following settings:

Overlay Opacity (How opaque the water effect will be)
Movement Type: Circular, Sinus, Basic (simply, what kind of movement will the water have)
Movement Variables (dependent on movement type)
Randomness for every variable.

The app generates two identical layers one on top of the other. It then gives the top layer a semitransparency ratio. It then moves the top layer according to the movement type you chose, taking a snapshot at each frame.

It can make some really nice water effects that way.

GAMES

1 Space game, sidescroller. Your x/y speed is determined by the mouse's distance from a certain point on the screen. So moving the mouse right will put on full throttle. Dragging it left will cause you to brake, and then reverse. Up/down will obviously move the ship up and down.

Using this method of control, you can handle the ship really well!

2 Platform game, adventure. The end of your planet is nigh, and you must help your people escape. You need to collect hexagonal pieces of a giant wall mural in an ancient temple. As the pieces uncover, they come to show another world behind. Only when all pieces are in place can you step through the mural. Similar, smaller murals lead to bonus levels.

3 Platform game, adventure. I just always wanted to make a platform game that was beautifully animated and had lots of powers you could get. Like first learning to side-jump up walls, then getting an item to let you dig into walls and stay there (like knuckles), then getting another so you could climb up walls, then learning to swim on the water, then dive, then dive deeper, then actually breathe underwater, and finally fly.

Each one would open up new areas in a main world, allowing you to explore.
