Hey guys, I would like to save some time so Im just asking if there's any chance to get a library stuffed with zelda sprites and animations? Ill tell you bout my project later someday, I still have alot of online stuff left to do, but sofar people can move around in an area.. Which sounds worthless, even though it's alot of good looking code and efficiency.
Thanks in advance!

If it was distributed for free by some guys website, no.

Have a look for Zelda spritesheets online - you'll have to copy them into objects/libraries yourself, but they do exist.

Lol.
There actually are sprite libraries out there for Zelda sprites, already ported to MMF/TGF format. I used to make Zelda Fangames myself, I used them all the time.
As for the legalities, copyright is in a little world of its own.
It's not so much about what is or isn't legal, but what the Copyright holder will or will not permit you to do with their creations. Nintendo have the *right* to sue anyone who so much as draws Zelda without their permission, since its their intellectual property.
However, they seldom (read 'never') actually *use* this right in respect to graphics libraries or freeware fangames. It's not a big enough concern to them, and the fanbase does them good, so they kindly turn a blind eye to it.
This doesn't mean they're legal, just that Nintendo won't exercise their right to stop you.

Dogzer, if the thought of making Zelda (Zelda Online for me) has struck more than me, there must surely be libraries that can be shared on the net for this kind of purpose. At least DeadmanDines gave me a real reply because all else of you just went off-topic about something I already knew, that fangames are OK.
DeadmanDines, do you happen to keep any of these libraries, or perhaps a site with more information about it? It would be a shame to let a poor coder copy and paste what's been done so many times before. I would personally ask a friend for his library, but his harddrive crashed a few weeks ago with the Zelda libraries in it.

Mine all met the same fate, I'm afraid. They died in H/D crashes.
HOWEVER
It's a good day all round, cos I just did a search and not only did I find a few libs for you, but also I found my first ever site in PORTUGUESE for the click community!! =D (i'm learning portuguese)
The website to download is http://gamingbrasil.mundoperdido.com.br/reslist.php
If you find it too hard to navigate in Portuguese, I may download the libs for you and host them myself (no promises cos of busy stuff).
There's a note on the site which reads thus:
"Atenção: ao usar o material aqui contido, você concorda que irá colocar o endereço da Gaming Brasil (http://www.gamingbrasil.net) e o nome das pessoas que criaram os arquivos que você está baixando nos créditos do seu jogo, visto que todos tiveram um enorme trabalho para criar e disponibilizar todo este conteúdo."
ENGLISH:
"Attention: In using the material here, you agree that you're going to include the address of Gaming Brasil (http://www.gamingbrasil.net) and the name of the people who created the archives that you are downloading in the credits of your game - seeing that all have gone to enormous trouble to create these files and make them available"

Try these:
http://gamingbrasil.mundoperdido.com.br/resdl.php?id=285
http://gamingbrasil.mundoperdido.com.br/resdl.php?id=284
http://gamingbrasil.mundoperdido.com.br/resdl.php?id=283
http://gamingbrasil.mundoperdido.com.br/resdl.php?id=282
If they don't work, then down the side of the site you'll see the RESOURCES heading. Mouseover on MULTIMEDIA FUSION 2, and you'll see a popup heading for 'MMF1/TGF/MFX'
Under that, click LIBS(GRÁFICOS) and you should find a link on the page for 'Legend of Zelda' (you can use Internet Explorer's 'Find' feature if you can't spot it)
