Could anyone tell me why the following event will not work in either TGF or MMF2?

{Active Object 1 collides with Active Object 2 > Change active object 1 animation to User animation 1}

I don't understand it! It just totally refuses to acknowlage what is going on! (Active Object 1 is falling by the way...) Please help!

Maybe you should do overlapping and not collide.

Works fine for me, are you sure there isn't a problem with the object?

I have always had trouble with the "change animation" thing. Never works as you want it to. Usually find some stupid workaround for it.

Aptennap: Well, I tired changing it to overlap but still no luck.
Introversity: Not sure what kind of problems I could be looking for with the objects...
David N: Layer? Whats a layer? (Serious!)
Nioreh: I always seem to be bumping to to silly problems like this... It's very, very irritating!

change it to something like, destroy instead of change animation to see if the whole event is being ignored,

if it gets destroyed then you may have to find a workaround to get the animation to play, like turning a flag on which in turn turns the animation on,

You know, maybe you have another event telling the animaiton to be something different that is overriding this event?

I think the layer means the Z-axis, or if one object would appear on top of another object or underneath it (if the two objects' X and Y position were the same).
