I keep all my downloaded games in one centralized location. One main folder and each game gets its own sub-folder.
Here's a question for you all. Is there anything that could happen to a computer that would cause it to go through said folder and clear out several of the games that I've downloaded from this site?
It doesn't delete whole sub-folders, no, it just deletes the actual game itself. Any other files that happen to be in that sub-folder get left un-touched.
I'm missing Abstractica, Spud's Quest, Within a Deep Forest, Zcorb, Sleepy Head Santa and, oddly enough, SpeakyParse (why I still even have [had?] that, I don't know).

This could be caused by doing a System Restore to an earlier date - all EXEs that are found not to match the snapshot are deleted.

Do you happen to have AVG antivirus on your computer? Because it had erased all klik games I had installed on my mother's computer, because it thought they were spyware or something.

Same happened to me - AVG identified them as a threat and automatically deleted all MMF games off my computer. Obviously, they arn't viruses or anything - they've just been identified as a mistake. I believe AVG fixed it in a patch now as it doesn't detect MMF games as viruses anymore. So I'm guessing it is probably your AVG, if you have it.

I'd love to know the cause too. I don't use System Restore (do use AVG though, I'm not entirely silly) and I've had some .exes go bye bye. Not just MMF games either, had to reinstall Doom 3 and Sim City 3k a few times.

You're serious? AVG does that? Huh. That's probably the reason, then. Here's to hoping they did fix it.

That happened a couple of weeks ago... it was reported to AVG and they fixed it surprisingly quickly, so hopefully it won't have affected too many people.
