I'm not big on Klik, but I've noticed that there has been a lack of good IRC channels for some time now. Most of them are pretty barren with only a few oldbies dropping in from time to time, so I figured that it would be a cool idea to attempt to get some Klikers together in a new channel. Apparently there is a client called Gwerdy Chat (I checked it out briefly) which also seems pretty active, but I prefer IRC over custom-tailored clients, and I am guessing that some of you might as well.
If any of you are interested in dropping by, the channel is #klik at esper.net. Nothing big or fancy, but yeah we'll see how it goes.
I do like the idea of having an IRC channel - it seems more appropriate than having a separate chatroom (as the chatroom tries to emulate IRC anyway) though the Gwerdy Chat client provides two advantages:
1. It can be tied right into the forum user database without the need for IRC bots.
2. The maker can show off to new people by saying "Look, this was made in MMF2 Dev".
ANOTHER IRC klik channel? There are, were plenty of klik chans, but most of them dry up after a few months. But oh well, I hang out on IRC a lot. What's the server that esper.net is on?
EDIT: Never mind, stupid question
Heh, seems pretty empty . Why can't everyone just use the same server? Radix has a point.

IRC was cool... back when there were people on it.

That is the only activity in the past 24 hours, so it doesn't look that great to me.
That point is pretty moot since people who can't maintain their interest for longer than a couple of weeks are free to like, not join in the first place. I'm not trying to inspire people who do not care as much as I am trying to start an active IRC channel because I want to frequent one.
