I followed the DavidN's tutorial but I keep having the problem of my character fall through a platform.
Why is this???
It happens with both moving platforms and still.
The platforms are 1 pixel high like the tutorial says to make. However when I make them thicker the player lands somewhere in the middle of the platform.
It seems as through my computer isn't reading the fast loops fast enough!
Please help.

Do you have the latest build of MMF2? I had problems with the engine until I was told by Jeff at Clickteam to upgrade to Build 243.

The tutorial should have been corrected now - the problem before was that it added decimals to a global value rather than setting it, which didn't work properly in early versions.
I'm not sure about the problem you're having without seeing what you have in your event list... most likely you're missing an "On loop 'grav'" if you're only landing in the middle of the detector.

Na I've got On loop "gravity" covered on the event. I can't figure it out.
Can I have the link to the new updated tutorial. I can't seem to find it.
The event for landing on a normal backdrop is exactly the same as the landing on a platform. (detector is overlapping group 0) instead, and without the (set Y position), and yet it doesn't work.
Does it work on the demos?
Also, what do you guys recommend I get- MMF2 or MMF2Dev.???

The updated tutorial replaced the old one, so there isn't a separate link - if you have "Revision 1" at the bottom of the HTML page, then it's the updated one.
I can't really see anything else obvious wrong, unless you post your event list.
