I was cleaning up my pc and uninstalled loads of programs. There was a program called MMF2demo, so i uninstalled it thinking it was the Demo of MMF2 (can't blame me eh?).
However later that day I noticed some mfa files weren't linked to MMF2 anymore, then it dawned on me. MMF2 was gone.
So why the hell does uninstalling the MMF2 demo also uninstall the main program too?

Not sure, but they do warn you not to install MMF2 Full until the Demo is uninstalled.

They use the same filenames and directories. It's because you installed MMF2 in the same directory as the demo, which is why they said you should uninstall the demo first. Tsk tsk.

I wanted to say that. It's that.
Same thing for Java, I believe. I now have releases 1.4, 1.5, 1.5 rev8 and 1.6 in my software list, but if I uninstall one of them, the whole of Java is gone.

It would have made sense if the demo files were overwritten on the mmf2 install. So the demo would have been renamed.
but it's all ok now, ive just installed the new patch

The beta patcher uninstalled all my mmf2 files (Except for extensions, etc), so are you sure it's not that?
