OwO K, so I've completed my first commercial videogame, Dubious Fudge, and I need to find a site to sell it on. I'm currently using Grab.com for download-purchase (the game is $20.00 USD. I'd be glad to give more information on the game, but I'm kinda' busy with the finishing steps.
I just need to know if there's a site that can produce custom CDs for me to sell the game on. Any service, just so long as it's online and allows me to put my own image on the CD. I have a cafepress account- does cafepress do CDs?
Just some information on the game:
Website is up, but largely incomplete.
Made using MMF2
3D-sidescroller, graphics similar to Donkey Kong Country with lots of extra content for you to play around with that makes it more enjoyable.
Full voice-acting cast and soundtrack.
I made everything but the voices and soundtrack.
Thanks in advance for any information you have. I'd love to get it sold on-site by the end of today. ^w^ I'll gladly lend you screenshots in return.

As far as intellectual copyrights go, you probably want to have a home-made voices/soundtracks if you plan on selling the game. Just a heads up. Unfortunately I know nothing about the rest of the process

You should never go higher than $10.00 when it comes to Click games. Show us some more, make a demo, so we can check things out before choosing to buy it and perhaps getting disappointed.
I'm not sure if there are freelance CD creation companies out there. Burning them yourself (and adding a nice label/cover) is the best alternative.

Being a 'Click game' doesn't necessarily set it apart from other software. After all, those rubbish Bejewelled clones manage to sell for $19.99 a time pretty well. There isn't an upper limit, as long as it's good enough for people to buy at that price.
My only venture into "commercial" software was setting up a donation account on Amazon Honor, and I have a grand total of zero offerings. There are definitely sites that press custom CDs, though I'm not in a position to recommend any further than a Google search.

Sorry, I don't have a lot of time but here are some tips that may help:
Get a legit US (if you're from the US) copyright. Fill out the forms, include the 50 (!) pages of printed code, send in the screenshots and the game on the CD that you plan on releasing in on (important). Make sure you're secure here first to avoid later troubles.
Also, you'll sell a lot more games over the internet if they are downloadable instead of CD, since it's much faster for the consumer. If you're worried about piracy (and who isn't?), it's going to happen with CDs too, so if you can get your game out in a more friendly internet medium you should do it. If you insist on CDs, just make the labels yourself! Unless you have orders for a ton of CDs this might be more worth your $$.
And I agree, $20 is sorta' high. I know you've most likely poured your heart, soul, and entire free time into it for months and months, but set a realistic price and you won't be dissapointed too much hopefully.
Only trying to help!

I'm actually quite interested in this myself, or will be in a year or two after my project is ready for release. I don't know much about it myself but this is how i was going to do it.
Put your game on your website and make it so that you can only download it from there. You can do this by creating a code on your site that people have to fill in to download the game. This stops the piracy and people can't give the game to others becuase they have to download it from your site. When you've got that done. Put an ad or two on your site. The more clicks you get the more $$$ you'll get. And if you really want heaps of money. Make it so to download the game you need to click the ad first. This method is used on some rom sites and that's how they make their money. Lots of it.
So yeah that's the way I'm gonna do mine, it'll probably work for you too.

Just remember Edwin, nothing can stop someone from legitimately downloading / buying your game, and turning around and mass-distributing it for themselves, free or otherwise. It sucks, but that's the risk you take.

US copyright for games is just about the same for any other kind of production. Same forms, cost, etc.
You guys have been very helpful, although you haven't listed specifics (sites to sell the CD, etc.), but that's okay. It's nice that you're all interested. I'm going to be hosting a downloadable version on grab.com, and a CD on cafepress. The game's release has been set back to this next Monday (April 9), since one of the previous composers is demanding compensation after saying he'd do it for free for so long. I'm just having my other composer do the rest.
I know most people say $20.00 is too much for a "Clik" game, but the fact is that MMF 2 was the most convenient means. I could have programmed it otherwise and taken twice the time, but I didn't have that much time. The whole first month was spent rendering the graphics and customizable parts for the models to add a neat feature to the game. Although the game isn't incredibly long, it's got a lot of extras to keep you busy and entertained.
So, although it's not as serious-looking a project as my previous game, it's still high-quality and fun to mess around with, and I've been told by testers that they'd be willing to pay up to 25 USD for it. I'll lower the price if the current one doesn't work, but it's been researched and calculated to show the real value of the game.
Thanks for your concern and comments, though. ^w^ It's nice to backed up by the community. I'll try to get some screenshots and the website link here in a few days. Keep clickin'! (and extension writing)

Yeah, I think you shouldn't base your price on your development tool. In the end, it all comes down to the quality of the game. I'd like to see those screenshots
