It's all pretties and stuff, but I think the navigation-bar is a bit too plain maybe. You know, it's just gradient. You could probably spice it up a little more. Hm, and I think the background of the topmost part of the site, it doesn't look very modern. Dunno if it really fits in with all the rest.
But maybe I'm just nitpicking, it's a very nice design anyway.
IMO that's too much of an amalgamation of styles. You have floral (was "in" in 2005), gradients/glossy, the Webhero typeface doesn't suit the overall layout.
I think you should scrap everything above the menu bar, sort out typefaces or get a consistent styling going with that (ie. settle on 1 family of fonts). I don't know WTF is going on with the left of the bar but I like it and think it should be pushed out further, even going behind the first couple of menu buttons. And to be kick ass and add a taste of semiotics put the most important menu buttons over the new outstretched graphic.
Thumbs up to the consistent colour scheme. And I had no idea your surname was Wilson!
Thanks for the feedback! I've tried to consider what you said Jimmi, though I liked the floral design in the header, but that will probably change with each page anyway to other images etc perhaps... I'm not sure yet
In harmony with what you and axel said, I've spruced up the nav bar a little with a little floral design that goes behind the first link etc. I've changed a couple of other small things not worth mentioning too.
The logo text needs fixing at the top - as well as the page content and links. But yeah I'd like to think the design as a whole is pretty much there now..?
