"As opposed to Warcraft III where the player controls a few units with many different special abilities, Starcraft 2 will be a numbers game"

YES, YES, YES. I hated the ridiculously low unit limit in Warcraft III. Zergling rushes are way cooler anyway. I like it <3

To be honest I'd like to see Blizzard come up with something new Fair play to them if they've been making a lot of money on 2 or 3 series', but I think they can do better than a graphical update, a new race and a bit of a gameplay change... Well, at least they like to please their fans

Then again I've never been able to get into RTS games. I'm far too impatient to play enough to get good, and I dislike the fact that an entire game is decided by what you do at the start, most of the time. I only ever played Warcraft 3 for the making/playing of custom maps

I'm with the people who'd rather have a new Diablo

Nah, I think it's fine. A new race is maybe a bit too much, but they are of course introducing new units and stuff to the game, as well as upgrading old classic units:

I hate RTSes. It's probably one of the 3 genres that can get me flipping a middle finger at the screen, besides football management games and games where you spend weeks building a tough char/city/world and it all gets razed by some bully.

Still... I loved Starcraft like I loved Red Alert. I don't know, I think it's the storyline and the fact that it's so balanced. You can't go up to a guy and say that he's not playing fair. Heck, Starcraft was so good it still exists in the WCG.

But I'm just worried that they'd turn Starcraft into another Warcraft. If they got the same designer, maybe it's fine, but something in my gut tells me that it'll end up as just another RTS I say I won't buy but end up buying anyway.
