I'm more interested in the fact that they announced a new expansion pack for Age of Empires 3, I love that game. I never really got into Starcraft though, have the game... I was to young to get into it, it's a bit late now.
Those are the kind of games (like RollerCoaster Tycoon) that you just need to get into, when the graphics felt nicer, that way you could look past the fact that it all looks flat. Very stupid excuse, but yeah... go figure.
I'll be waiting till I get a proper demo of this. Halo 2 was a piss poor shadow of it's predecessor, so I've lost faith that Bungie are going to blow us away with Halo 3.
Don't think so Phreddy. It's hardly difficult to get online vs actual people anyways :\
Yeah, but what if you're not playing online? If you're just playing splitscreen with a friend and want more than one target. Especially considering the Halo levels are HUGE.
If Quake III Arena from 2000 for the Dreamcast could support bots, why the **** can't Halo 3 do it seven years later for the 360?
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
i remember years ago they were like
HALO WILL ONLY COME OUT FOR MAC
IT WILL BE ONE OF THE FEW MAC GAMES AND IF YOU WANT TO PLAY IT YOU NEED A MAC
and then it was THE xbox title- oh what irony lol
If Quake III Arena from 2000 for the Dreamcast could support bots, why the **** can't Halo 3 do it seven years later for the 360?
That's easy, Halo is Quake 2 with prettier GFX. This becomes blatently obvious when you play the PC version of Halo. At least the PC gamers can see beyond the hype.
Also, it's another reason for you to spend $50 on an XBL account.
Seconded, Amen. Timesplitters 1+2 are among my favorite FPS games, they're just so damned frantic. TS3 is alright, but most of the Timesplitters Magic is gone from it; it's far too easy and slower paced.
I died twice completeing Timesplitter 3 on hard. I died over 100 times before I was able to beat Timesplitters 2 on hard.
Timesplitters 3 is great for the better graphics, better level editor, and online. The story mode is fun to play through a few times as well (and very funny). But you blow through the challenges and arcade modes so quickly it's rediculious. I still haven't cleared all the challenges on Timesplitters 2.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a fantastic buy; it's just hard to see how the mighty Timesplitters fell.
