I'm doing an accounting course, and have some uber horrible management accounting and tax exams.

EG.

If your employer gives you a diesel company car with fuel emmissions of 167g/km, and a list price of £22,000, then...

we round the g/km down to the nearest five, so it becomes
165g/km
less the first 140g/km = 25

divide remaining by 5 = 5

for the first 140g/km, read 15%. Then add the 5 we just calculated on top of it to get 20%.

Because it's a diesel, add a further 3% (23%).

Then take 23% of the list price of £22,000, and you get £5,060.

And that's your Benefit In Kind for Company Car Usage. It's treated as if you got paid £5,060 more than you actually did.

And that's like only ONE of the BIKs. There are loads, and then there's Capital Gains tax, the rest of Income Tax Under Self Assessment, etc. And working out the Capital Gain on sale of Shares ( = nightmare).

I'm so gonna fail.
Rant over.

You're forgetting that Dines has dyscalculia, so it's a lot harder for him.
Doing something like that with dyscalculia is a lot more impressive.
Still, I'm sure he'll do fine.

Interestingly I just watched a programme bout a geezer with Asperger's - but clearly he only had a mild version. Basically he was just normal, except a little bit geeky and good at Maths. He was acting particularly normally actually; hugging girls, going to a football match, having friends, even getting his hair dyed. If that's what it takes to be diagnosed as autistic then no doubt a quarter of the nation is too!

All this labels don't do no good anyway, the guys what get diagnosed tend to act up to it anyway. The AS guy said he was relieved when he got diagnosed because it explained away all his behaviour, as if it was okay to act like he sometimes did.

Thats what i was trying to say sort of.

I got written off at primary school by a butthole of a teacher. I did use to mess about a lot, but i always have. If i can do something in an hour, i cant see the point of taking 5. Thats my approach to everything - Some people at school did huge 2 A4 ring binder courseworks, i did about 40 pages usually and got higher grades than them .

I had an IQ test at school, came out I was allegedly quite smart (not gonna tell the figure lol), and now i am more qualified than the butthole that labelled me with those conditions.

Helped me as in taking not a blind bit of notice of what i was labelled.

Getting your hair dyed is normal? Real men have long hair, side burns, and a tache/beard.
