Im using a modded version of the Collectythingy engine posted a few months ago,

(The one with hte little pink guy)

now Ive made some mods to it to make it into a fighting engine, (Bad Dudes Vs. Dragonninja Style) but I was having problems with the actual platforms,

Im useing however, a semi-3d projection like Double Dragon, so the platforms arnt actual platforms, they are just ground tiles, but I wanted the player to only walk in the platform scrolling plane, sooooooo.. I made another BG-Obj to serve as the floor, as its only about 2 pxl high, and works GREAT!!! but its totally out of place,
so Earlier on I had the Idea of making the play have a shadow that follows the x and not the y axis, and changed the code to stop the player falling when they overlap with the shadow, but.. it seems have the active obj's run as a platform dont work and my player sinks straight through and off the bottom of the screen into oblivion.. can any one tell me why it works when using over lapping BG and not on overlapping/collision of Actives ?????
