Hi guys, I woke up this morning and noticed a huge amount of hits on my website. Upon some searching around I discovered that somebody put a Hasslevania preview up on Indygamer's newspage. I have NO idea who did this, but if it was anybody here I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!
I guess somebody liked the news that there's going to be magic spells in the game, this is going to be my biggest release ever, it looks like. It's gonna' be fun to see what happens!

DXF Games, coming next: Hasslevania 2- This Space for Rent!
Ah good, no thread would be official without a post (or 10) from Adam on it!
It was more of a "thank you to whoever did this" kind of thing, and since I only post in two places on the internet I figure the guy had to come from here or GameFAQs.

Tim, I actually have several games being made at the moment, each looking nicer than your silly little Tormishire clone. James hasn't even released Tormishire and you're making a parody :/
So if it's a 'clone' of Tormishire, you must be saying that your games look better than that? :\ Also, I've jumped on the band-wagon here - I didn't start making Mirage, I've only just recently joined forces with Ben on it and helped him do stuff.
Also, I haven't even played Tormishire but seen a video or two. Neither does it look anything like it anyway!? It just has particles around him when after he attacks, and trails to highlight speedy movement. That's the only way it could resemble Tormishire. Even if that is the case - James doesn't have any copyright/patent on those effects.
If James thought it was infringing on his ideas, originality or style then I'm sure he'd mention it to either me or Ben and express his opinion - should he have any problems etc.
Whilst we're having a dig - what's the probability that you'll finish those without getting bored or insisting on redoing the graphics?
You don't have to answer that question, in fact I'd prefer it if you didn't really. But stop being silly!

Yeah, perhaps I should have used "parody", James's gfx are lovely.

Similar scale, lighting effects, elaborate particles, and yes, over all a very similar look. Your concept art was even Tormishire-esque with sophisticated typography.
The creatures in it however, remind me of Nifflas's creations, so Ill let you off there
