Lol, what a coincidence! I found my old GBC just a few days ago, and I've been playing Pokémon Yellow all week! Get the two Zelda games: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. Absolutely awesome games, those two.
- Wario Land 1, 2 and 3. Those games really rock and are worth your time. (1 is actually GB, and 2 had 2 versions for GB and GBC).
For some stupid reason, savefiles made on GB and GBC are incompatible with eachother on the GBC version.
There is a gameboy color remake of Super Mario bros. Which is pretty decent.
Yes. And later Nintendo released a GBA version of Super Mario Bros WITHOUT all the extras The only advantage is that it allows for the full screensize (the GBC version is zoomed in to compensate for the lower resolution of the GBC)
don't forget all the brilliant monochrome gameboy games though. Tetris, Marioland 1 and 2 etc.
Tetris was re-released as Tetris DX for the GBC. The GBC version has battery save, and keeps your best score, as well as saves your game if you pause and turn it off.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
The Game Boy Camera doesn't take pictures in color, but you can tint the picture by pressing various button combination when turning on the GBC just like any other monochrome Game Boy game.

I don't know of a way to copy SRAM states from one cartridge to the other, anyway (unless you are emulating!). Something in the source code of Wario 2 vs Wario 2 "DX" changed that doesn't make them work though. I only own the original, have never even seen what the Colour version looks like.
EDIT: For GB, get Mystic Quest. It's a classic amongst Mana games. (Actually, Sword of Mana on the GBA was a remake of it, but they totally changed the look and feel of the game and combat in that one.)

No... If you play Wario 2 DX on the GBC, and then play the same cartridge on Monochrome GB, you will be asked to start a new game (and delete the GBC save file).
Also, the game only lets you keep one savefile! Is the game really that much more complex than original Wario Land? (has three saves)

Really? that's wierd. Mystic Quest was that SNES "Beginners" RPG here. Yeah, I just checked it out on Wiki; it was called Mystic Quest for you guys and the SNES one was called Mytic Quest Legends. Strange squaresoft.
