Anyone seen it? Thought it was fantastic and definitely well worth the wait. Although it was a little too short I still found it very entertaining and very funny. This has revitalized my love for The Simpsons. And to think at one point I thought Family Guy was the better show.

SPOILER!

Im not suprised it's short to be honest, considering it takes 6 to 8 months to make a single regular episode

I know they have to write scrips, record voices, draw up storyboards, then animate them etc, but i thought it'd only take them 2-3 months at most, depending on how many people they have working on them.

that's impossible unless the show started in the 40s.

I'm assuming they're working on more than one episode at the same time.

Matt Groening said in an interview on tv the other night it takes 6-8 months. It sounds along time but theres an awful lot that goes into it, and they probably have a huge team working on 2 or 3 episodes at a time.

Oh, here we go :

It goes kinda like this, all the stateside production (Storyboards, Voices, Scripts, etc.) is done within a month; it's the overseas animation that takes so long to complete.

The good thing about having the americans do the Storyboards is that you can have multiple teams working on different projects, yet they all retain the same look (Generally, there's a few episodes where I can tell they were using a new team or something).

Is the most significant thing about this movie that you see Bart's cock and balls? Cos that's all I hear anyone talk about. How is the rest of the film beyond that short segment?

I will probably go and see it sometime but I'm not anticipating anything great. The Simpsons is a twitching dead animal at the moment.

Actually that probably was the only bit people will talk about .

Movie was funny all the way through pretty much, played for laughs a bit too much though.

Lol something along these lines:

Flanders: Everyone! I have something to confess!

Homer (with fingers crossed and hopeful look on his face): gay, gay, gay, gay, gay

Awesome film, I'm glad it didn't let me down - was laughing pretty much the whole way through. Now to see Transformers.
