When I try to run MMF1.5 on my main OS, (Ubuntu 7.04) through WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator, version 0.9.41) it works fine for some time, then suddenly crashes. The crashes are not random, as I can replicate them, but the causes are different for all cca's. The following error is output in the terminal:
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x000000e6 at address 0x10b034dc (thread 0009), starting debugger...
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x000000e6 in 32-bit code (0x10b034dc).

Wait for MMF2 for Linux. Until then use a Virtual Machine.

I'm sure many are still willing to help you after that, Tyscorp.

I guess Tyscorp doesn't want help after all.

You shouldn't make your MMF be put through such conditions, imagine how it feels.

An official warning has been issued to Tyscorp for abusive behaviour.

The comment to LIJI was too harsh, although I suspect it was tongue-in-cheek. On the other hand, the comment "Install Windows." absolutely justified the "go fuck yourself" response. IMO, it's a perfectly natural reaction to the condescending two-word posts we see around here all too often, and I would be equally annoyed if that was the first post I saw in response to a genuine problem I was having.
If the warning was issued for the language alone, then fair enough, but I doubt anyone would not be able to sympathise with Tyscorp's situation here, even if they disagree with his decision to post it.
I can't help but notice that the once helpful atmosphere on these forums is being eroded by smarmy comments like this and the snowball of abuse and flaming they induce. If you can help with the problem, then great. Otherwise, don't bother replying with "duh, do this, obviously".

Why are you even posting this here? Go bother the Wine team.
