yep, sounding like a real newbie huh? Truth is I've always made RPGs with TGF till now and I'm about to launch into a massive Platformer project. I've heard a LOT of people saying that the pre-established movement build is rubbish and have noticed errors with platforms and ladders. So the question is simple really - How does one go about making their own movement setup in 'The Games Factory Pro' - if possible a setp-by-step guide would be handy.

(Why Games Factory Pro you say? Because I had a full liscenced version given to me as a gift and like the system a lot. I'll update to version 3 when it comes out. Hell, I cut my teeth on Klick 'n' Play, lol.)

There are plenty of written articles around TDC that teach the basics of platform movement. Also, try the Clickteam forums for various examples that you can learn from.

It's best to start simple.

Why not use the tutorials that come with TGF? They give a detailed look at custom engines.
