Whoa nelly! You're right, but the US and Japan versions have been delayed too. The Japan one is now January 2008 (which is when everyone suspects the Europe one will be launched). US? Jury's out! I hope 2008 though just so they can feel out pain

Sonic Rush was good, especially the music, but it was too short
Yea, I stopped caring about them past Knuckles and the renaming of Dr. Robotnik.
Fantastic series up until the Mega Drive died. I put Sonic 2 and 3 above any 2D Mario game, but I prefer the 3D Mario games over any of Sonic's new games. Smash Bros Brawl excluding
Agreed. Sonic became crap when Robotnik was renamed to Eggman. Sonic also shouldn't talk. He sounds so much better when he and all his friend don't talk.
I also really don't enjoy the costant boy bands and vocals they have in the music these days. I just don't think it suits sonic. Or any video games really. UNLESS IT'S THE DK BONGOS GAME.
I never liked Sonic past the Mega Drive I always prefered Sonic to Mario back in the day, but there continues to be decent Mario games released, while there hasn't been a good Sonic game for over a decade. I thought even Sonic Rush sucked hard. Reviewers say how it goes back to the style of old Sonic games. What old sodding Sonic games did they play?!?
The cel-shaded 3D Sonic sucked compared to the And the 3D bosses were crap, the old sprites were far better, and the music was wank. I borrowed Sonic Rush off a friend and didn't know who half the bloody characters were. And shut the hell up when I'm trying to fight bosses, Tails, your pre-pubescent voice is putting me off.
The split screen thing was damn confusing, and the amount of times I fell off the bottom of the screen without even knowing there was a drop, that never happened in the old games, they never had to resort to blind drops to challenge the player.
So in summary, no dialogue, no 3D, no silly name changing for Robotnik. The best Sonic experience was plugging Sonic 3 into Sonic and Knuckles.

Eggman was his original japanese name.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
I wasn't too opposed to the GBA Sonic games, or at least the first one. They sort of lost their way after that. But they were very reminiscent of the original games. The levels weren't just roller coasters which is what bothers me in Rush. I'm not keen on 2.5D at all (New Mario I look at you).
I'm hoping Sega will release a Sonic 4 or whatever for Wii Ware or whatever. In pixels it could be ace.
Ah yeah, forgot about the GBA games. I only ever played I think it was Sonic Advance 3 which I thought was better than Sonic Rush but still not brilliant.
I'm not a fan of the 2.5D thing either, although I think it did work kinda well New Super Mario Bros. Worms Open Warfare is another bad example, the worms looked cack.
Anyway, it's nice to see Sonic will be in SSB Brawl, looks like the roster's gonna be pretty packed.
Yes I'm glad Sonic is in it. I was too sure about it at first but now that I've saeen the screen shots and seen the special moves, I'd say that he looks like a pretty decent character. Wonder if the Green Hill zone will be an arena?
