I had this on the alternate dimension TDC earlier today, but now I need to post it in our own world. This should show kind of what it's going to be like, although I still have about a month left before I want it out for good.
Yeah, I sent it to the editor and he put it on there. That's pretty cool
God, no offense to my own game but I can't wait until it's finished and over with.
I know the next game I make will be a SMALL one and not a platformer, that's for sure.

i've been looking forward to this for a long time now it's looking very good. I must admit though, that i have a bit of a problem with the midi music - i don't think it's up to par with the rest of the game. If you want, i could try doing a mod version of some of the midi files (provided you send some), i'm quite certain i can improve on it
No offense meant btw, it's midi i'm talking about, not the actual music
It's cool eviserator no offense taken. I have 35 MIDI tunes for the game, and one WAV which is the ending song (voices over a recorded MIDI track, hahah it's interesting to say the least).
I like using MIDIs for my stuff in general but I think if I get MMF2 one day I'll make the leap to mods. I don't know, there's just something about MIDIs that screams "video game" that I like personally. I'd say if there was ever a sequel I would use mods or something else entirely, but for now I just like to use my MIDI maker and whip up some songs with realitive ease.
Yeah, I have heard that Rovert walks too stiffly a couple of times before, but I don't know I think it makes him look "heroric" somehow. Oh, he can walk faster when he equips the Blade of Del Duio. This is actually needed to reach some places that require a long distance jump.

Well, I wanted the cheesiness of the actual MIDI and the awfulness of my actual voice! What we did is take a speaker recording of the MIDI playing and dump that wav track onto Cubase, and then record two vocal tracks over that and mix it down to a wav (one of the only internal music types supported by the MMF1.5 I have). What makes it better (read: worse) is the final song was probably my 4th or 5th take, so my not so strong voice is weaker than ever before!
While it sounds like you wouldn't want such an awful performance in your game, I actually love how bad it is. The voice acting is equally as bad. I got what I wanted out of the voiceovers in the end afterall
