Not an update this time, my Wii didn't start glowing, nor did I get a message from Nintendo :S
However in the shop channel where you can download software such as the web browser there is the new... Umm... Well, its a new Mii based channel. Share Mii's with the world and enter them into competitions. Can't remember the name though
There are already plenty of Mii's in there; Mr. Burns, Peter Griffin, Darth Vader just to name a few of them... Also the compo for this week is to design a Mario Mii WITHOUT a hat on. I entered mine. Bet we get a lot of clones

R.C. Male (Not sure what was the talent ) - Raichu look-alike
B.H. Male Comedy - Big Head (Originally Big Forehead but it was too long). Tall, Black shirt, funny mustache.
B. Male Singing - Boris, Made for a self-challenge "Make an ugly Mii that still looks human". Dark skin, short, Purple shirt.
N. Female Cooking - Natasha, Made for the same self-challenge. Light skin, Fat, Blond, Pink Dress.
It's fun!
BTW my Wii location is set to the UK as Israel isn't listed there...
Wow I got some laughs from this! Some of them Mii's are very well made. Saved a few of them to my machine too. Submitted my Harry Hill, Duke Nukem, Trevor MacDonald and Roseanne Conner ones
Anyone else submitted a hat-less Mario? My sister made a kind of, well, abstract one. But they still might like it
There's a new update coming soon too. The Photo Channel is going to drop .mp3 but add AAC support (which is coolio for OSX users) and you'll be able to use a photo as a desktop pic. Don't think this will work well, what with the channels in the way.

I have like, so many Miis, it's hard to find mine amongst them all in the mii plaza.
I also think Wario Ware Smooth Moves is very fun!

i've been playing MP3 and Excite Truck more than anything, and the Virtual Console will eat my money. Wii Sports is a bit brilliant too. Still playing it!

I'd suggest just buying any of the Nintendo biggies such as Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy or Zelda: Twilight Princess. All are thoroughly entertaining and well made games. I've come to expect nothing less from Nintendo these days.
As I suspected, over-hyped release "OMG PRE-ORDER OR YOU WONT GET A COPY" I walked in expecting queues of giggling nerds to find I was the only customer in the shop Purchased and went to Waterstones to look at the fish tank in the kids section Then I went to the other Game (there's two in the city) to find that dead too. Im suspecting if they're gonna sell out it would be tommorow, but I really doubt they will.
EDIT: The Mario Voice on the wii menu is really stupid
There nothing wrong with getting a wii too though i suppose.
at least i can play my Gamecube games and virtual console games too if there aren't many games i would like.
