So all the reviewers are saying it's better than Mario 64. Which I thought could never be possible. But they've done it and it's out in the UK on Friday. My local Sainbury's has it for £30 which is hot, but they'll probably be sold out
I walked into my best buy a few minutes ago at 12:30- they said in the ads they weren't stocking until 2:00, but I was on the way. I ninja'd one out of the box the guy was unloading from when he wasn't looking, and the people at the checkout didn't say a thing. Beats standing around for an hour.
There have been lots of good games and such this year - but I haven't seen one which actually looks like a lot of fun. But Galaxy does look like a whole lot of fun to me. The colours, the graphics, the levels, the costumes .etc look so good in the videos I've seen. Looks as though it could be the best game on the Wii yet - just a shame I won't be able to play it
I really don't think it will be sold out all over, perhaps in Sainsbury's yes, those stingey sods only ever have two copies of a game on the shelf at once
Argos, Virgin, HMV, Game station, Game, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Curry's, Comet, Dixons, Toy's R US, Tesco... The Internet. I'm pretty confident that it won't be hard to get a copy of a game, no matter how good it is.
I think he was only saying that Sainsburys will be sold out because of the low price for the game - most other stores have it at a higher price I believe.
Adam, it's Currys.digital, not Dixons. (I sadly work there)
And Galaxy does look incredible and I probably will try Sainsburys first as I managed to get Metroid Prime 3 for £30 which I found surprising since Currys had it for £40 and not even my staff discount could match that. Can't wait till Friday though and it will wipe away the horrible tears I had whilst playing The Simpsons Game on the Wii. Wow, that game was terrible.
They shut down the Dicko's in our shopping centre and moved it to one of them retail parks Looks like I'll be setting off early in the morning then. There is no way I'm missing out on this game. So many perfect scores have been given.
I don't like Game. They like to charge £5 more than everywhere else and games are already opened (which wouldn't be a problem with internet orders I suppose!). Our local Tescos puts games up early. Might have to check them tomorrow!
The reason you usually see it at Tescos or Sainsburys because you got idiots who work there and see a new game and put it on display right away. I don't think they've ever heard of a release date. I remember going into Sainsburys and seeing Sonic Rush Adventure on the shelves a week before it was to be released and with a good price tag. So you get the games earlier and for cheaper. I'll have to say Sainsburys is the best place to go for games.
Also, I once bought Zelda for the GBA (the nes re-release) for £10 but the staff couldn't tell which cartride to put in the box so they asked me. I kinda shrugged of hoped that they'd put Minish Cap in there. They did. So I got Minish Cap for £10 when It should have been like, £30
You 2 lucky buggers never had that here! Gamestation have only recently started doing it in their big (little) Manc shop. I'm sure it's some kind of unfair practice. It's not like going to Mac Donalds where if you want a freshly cooked burger you just say you want it without pickles. There's no way to get a fresh game there
Which is saying something. I didn't like Metroid Prime 3 very much, Twilight Princess wasn't quite as good as OoT. But this game. It's just incredible. Even 2 player is fun.
I get thrills just doing long jumps off small planets. This game is friggin incredible. 17 stars now. The "mini game" surfing and ball levels are my faves so far. Not so keen on swimming. They've given us the best platform environment ever and they want you to then go swimming -_-
This Winter I'll be mostly playing Team Fortress 2, Galaxy and MMF2.
I've even spent a few hours just replaying old levels for no reason. Metal Junk thingy level is just fantastic for leaping whole planets (or just debris).
The game is amazing. I'm at 78 stars at the moment. There are only two things that make me sad about this game:
1) The swimming is SO annoying. The camera in the game is great, UNTIL you have to swim, then it just gets horribly bad, especially when I had to collect 100 purple coins whilst swimming, that pissed me off something serious.
2) I'm about 2/3 through the 120 stars, and I've never gotten to 'surf' or 'golf' other then on the first two levels, which is SUCH A SHAME, as those two levels were genuinly fun.
Other than that, this game is in my top 5 favorite of all time, easy.
Yea, I don't like the swimming. Which is a shame as I reckon the swimming levels (fortress and that beach one) are arguably the best looking stages in the game. I also don't like the repeating levels later on. A very cheap move Ninty.
Other than that. This game is still my fave. I ruddy love it!
Tim you've let me down if you think this is a kids game. I'd love to see anybody over the age of 10 beat half the levels in this game. My 15 year old sister needs help on some levels, even I need help on some levels!

Having an inner child still helps you have more fun in the game!
Okay, so Garden level is still by far the most beautiful level and song in a game ever. Got it playing now
I have about 42 stars. The more I play the more my opinion that this is the best game in a decade gets cemented. I love some of these small planets, and the one you deflate is hilarious

There is another surf level and another "golf" level (I assume you mean the level you're running on top of a rolling ball with a star in). You need to get three green stars to go to them though. Both are hard
There's also a short "golf" part for one of the stars in the lava level.
- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
