What do you think is the best one to use? When making games I find that the window always ends up really small which is annoying. Is it worth doubling the size of the sprites? Whats the best window size do you guys recon?

Maximum 800*600 Windowed, 1024*768 Full screen.
Minimum 256*244 (SNES) Windows, 320*240 Fullscreen.
If you need something smaller than the minimum, double the sprite size or wait for SS2x.

I agree, 800 by 600--but if you're looking to keep it small, I'd go smaller in the same proportion.

Unless it's extremely small (128px wide), Always use 4:3 ratio.

Glancing over the Steam survey thingy, 4:3 is the more dominant aspect ratio at a larvely 76%. Best building for them chaps really.

Edit: 96% of users have NTFS! I must be in the minority of 4% there.

I used to have a FAT32 partition only because I didn't have good NTFS drivers for Linux. Now I have full support drivers for Linux (Except compression write support and encryption) so I ported my FAT32 partition to NTFS.
But why's that on topic?

Except the Windows boot CD doesn't do that and you know it. Just reinstall the linux partition (you did put /home as a seperate partition, right? Then you should be pretty safe). Or reinstall apt from the CD.
