Now that im retired from myahem... life of crime (¬_¬)... i decided to answer "nim's" wishes.
"I'm disappointed to see that the other thread was deleted. It could've turned into a good discussion about the power that MMF is potentially giving irresponsible people"
Give it up for Nim!! anyways just post your opinion on the subject (duh).
crap this doesnt really belong in the code-it section.

Any decent application development program has the ability to destroy or spy on someone's data. What are you going to do about it? Nothing, and nothing is really needed as a lot of harmful applications are seen as viruses or spyware in time, anyway.
no ive had tgf2 for about a year (i got it last christmas) and i found this website like a mounth ago. ive completed 2 games, 1 big and 1 small but i havent posted it yet.

I think the worst thing I did was make a fake virus program that just had a counter loading up that said "Uploading Virus" and it played a scary midi.
I got a lot of my friends with that one. Yeah, 7th grade was fun.
I always looked at the file object with a little concern, thinking that someone could just rig up their application to delete some folders or something without warning. I dont think MMF has been used for such evils though... not yet at least.
Some effects can be done, such as emulating the desktop while really hiding it from view. Honestly, MMF has less power at creating viruses and malware then any other program editor, just as it has less power at creating games and applications. It just streamlines the process; however, while this is deathly neccesary in gamemaking, virus making is all about the raw power of destruction.
To that end, the best you can do is create something that damages a computer if and only if they run a .exe file. Which an 8 year old could probably program by accident in c++

To be honest, yes it's very possible in MMF. I've made trojans in MMF, but they're not that effective due to the amount of extensions and work arounds you have to use. It's much more effective and better documented to make virii with something like VB because it's simple to just copy and paste code to do malicious tasks.
So while it's possibly with MMF, like someone else said before - any decent development package can create malicous programs... It's not really a discussion topic. What's your point?
Mmf2 viruses are easy to make. But its more fun to make people THINK you have given viruses.

I've made a few like that. Sadly none of my friends are that gullible.
