Y'know... instead of trying to find ways to circumvent the four-word rule, you guys could actually try and put some more thought and effort into your posts (as is the intent of the rule, I'm guessing), and try making 'em into actual sentences...
Well, yes, we could. You see, what happened here is that while this thread had started as having a valid question, capable of bringing a real discussion up, it instead developed rather fatally to a thread in which we typed small, inane responses, and this lead to the thread's purpose being hijacked into ways to circumvent the filter. Of course, after your response, I am tempted to make a rather long paragraph explaining the recent happenings among the misc. forums, and I seem to be prattling on anyway. Is anybody else up for a session of rather long paragraphs using excessively long words in order to sound fancy? I'm quite positive that this is an activity we can all participate in, and we shall wind up creating a plethora of prim, pompous posts that will contain extravagantly long posts that may look impressive to the simple-minded, while people with an I.Q. score higher than that of a common garden shovel will quickly realise it to be a quick and dirty attempt to appear intelligent and well-mannered while doing nothing other than drag out already long sentences in order to drive a point way further than it needs to be driven.
Sweet jebus, my hands hurt; that took about 45 seconds to type.

Just a thought.
Sometimes I only need two or three words to help someone understand something; in this case the limit is plain annoying.
To be fair the rule was only implemented to stop Tim and others typing "LMAO!!!!" and "lol" and "" so I guess it may be annoying for those who want to suggest the name of something, or type "yes I agree" for example.

And thus, situations like "hey I have this problem" "yeah, me too!" "Hey, me too! Help anyone?!" "Aw, I have the same problem!" start existing, not always a solution being provided. Of course, such things don't happen much on TDC anyway.

You mean you want bloated, exploitable, slow and unsecure pages?
Blood of the Ancient One, Seen only as Shadow, Faster than Lightning, Fierce as the Greatest Dragon, Nearly Invisible, Floating in a Dream, Entered through the Demon Door, Destroyer of Evil in a Realm with a Red Sky Scarred, Who could I be ?
