I was working on my current project, when suddenly, out of nothing my object that represents the main character (in animations) turns into a bad object.
I have tried replacing it with another object, but the bad object shortcut does not go away...
After saving it to a different file, I find that when I try to reload it, it wants to *gasp* delete the entire frame that contains the engine!
Wah!!
How do I resolve this
The first man to compare the cheeks of a young woman to a rose was obviously a poet; the first to repeat it was possibly an idiot.
Lol. I just fixed it, and you are not going to believe how :')
This might be a tip for future hopeless souls like me:
1. I replaced the bad object by a proper one
2. made a new frame,
3. copied every object and event to the new frame (MAKE SURE THE BAD OBJECT IS MENTIONED NOWHERE!!)
Got rid of the corrupted frame, and tada!
I just lost the whole layout of the level I was building the engine in. Oh well, I don't mind really.

I had this the other day, but since I have 5 auto-backups and heeeeaaaaps of backup files I just went back about 10 minutes... It's the best way to make a game really.
Its generally good practice to back it up every day or two, or so. Often you can get a handle for what might make your games unstable; like if you're trying to add a huge new system or new type of active object or extension into an already bloated level, it might cause some unexpected effects and corrupt it. Pretty much just back up your file before you attempt any thing major.
