Apparently it used to be much better.
Maybe it was so good they couldn't keep up with demand and now their servers have buckled under the weight of 900 billion free sites?

as a file hosting service they have to realize that if they go down all the old file downloads are lost without anyone being able to download it again.

Take an old PC, hook it up to the internet, install Apache. Problem solved.

You might need to give a slightly more in depth tutorial if you're going to suggest something like that Brandon.

Okay.
Go to www.3DBuzz.com, sign up. Then go to their Video Tutorials. Scroll down to PHP & MySQL Integration. The very first video they have shows you how to install Apache and get your entire web server up and running perfectly.

It has been pretty good up until the last 4 days or so, where it's been down a lot. My traffic went from 200 or so hits a day down to 0, which sucks.
Hopefully it'll be up soon enough!
..At least it's free, eh?

or he could just install the Wamp package which sets up mysql, apache and php for you in a few clicks. Just need to edit the config file to allow outsiders in.

NOTE: use them as file hosting only and you're sure to be banned. They host WEBSITES, you may only get away with hosting files if you have a proper website on there.
They used to be MUCH better. They started to suck, have more offtime, they even added ads to users' websites. Better switch to a different web host.
